Background and History

Tuba, a devoted Afghan sister and teacher, dedicated her entire life to serving children and her community. She passed away on 12 August 2024. As she left no children behind, her family members committed themselves to preserving her name and continuing her humanitarian mission by establishing an institution dedicated to the care and upbringing of orphaned and vulnerable children.

In recognition of the experience and strong track record of EWSSO (Ehsas Welfare and Social Services Organisation) in supporting orphans in Afghanistan, the implementation and administration of this institution have been entrusted to EWSSO.

The financial support and funding of Tuba Nest will be secured through the collaboration and generosity of benevolent sincere Afghans living abroad.

Tuba Nest was established to provide a safe, healthy, and growth-focused environment for orphaned and vulnerable children. Construction of the center began in 2025. While the building has capacity of 180 children, after completing the main facilities in line with safety requirements and child protection standards, the organization officially started its work in 2026 by welcoming and caring for more than 50 orphans in its initial admission stage. Eighty five percent of the Nest are parentless (without father and mother)

Since its foundation, Tuba Nest has followed a clear approach based on professional standards, child safeguarding principles, administrative transparency, and organizational accountability. Through educational, developmental, and support programs, we aim to ensure the balanced physical, emotional, and social growth of every child, while working together with the community and partner organizations to build a stronger future generation.
